Roger Parent, President
Roger Parent has been involved on the cutting edge of the entertainment and architectural design industries since the early 70’s. His innate talent and passion for evoking emotion through imagery, architecture, lighting, sound and movement led to his founding of Réalisations Inc. Montréal in 1997. Parent has collaborated on more than 5,000 shows in America, Europe and Asia in evolving capacities from creative and technical director to designer and producer. As executive producer he has collaborated to the creative development of Cirque du Soleil (CDS), and its presence in Las Vegas for both Nouvelle Expérience and Mystère. He was in charge of production for the USA tours of Alegrìa and Saltimbanco and opened the two first tours of Japan (Fascination and Saltimbanco). As vice-president of CDS, Parent headed the creation of the production model that transformed the company from a single touring show troupe into a multi-show company present on several continents. Parent has worked on other major projects including the Food Pavilion in Germany at Expo 2000 with the Sapnish artist Antoni Miralda, and on multiple spectacular exhibitions on sustainable development and art with Francois Confino, in France, England, Australia and Japan.
Hugo Bélanger, Stage Director and Author
Hugo Bélanger is an accomplished stage director, artistic director and author and has been the inspiration of the Théâtre Tout à Trac since 1998. In his shows he explores the imaginary through the use of masks, tales and puppets. He has created two prize winning shows: l’Oiseau Vert and La Princesse Turandot. He also teaches at the National Theatre School of Canada, le Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique de Montréal and at l’École nationale de cirque.
Joël Proulx-Bouffard, Animation Designer
After studying art and 3D animation at ICARI, Joël Proulx Bouffard has gone on to develop new expertise in visual simulation. During the last 10 years he has realised more than 300 technological and artistic projects. He has also taught in various specialised schools and offered private training over the last three years. Bouffard creates multi-layered works, mixing materials, digital content and light. He currently works for Réalisations.net producing visual content as well as project simulations.
Alexandre Burton, Interactivity Designer
Alexandre Burton's interest for new media technology stems from a desire to reveal new forms of expressivity through digital processes. Tightly integrating hardware and software, his artistic work is regularily presented in international digital arts and music events and venues. At Realisations he is overseeing the interactivity design workflow and facilitates the coordination between artists, programmers and producers.
Richard Cliche, Audio Visual Project Manager
During 30 years Richard Cliche has evolved from technician to technical director and line producer for companies such as the Cirque du Soleil, Robert Lepage’s Ex-Machina, the Festival de Jazz de Montréal, l’Opéra de Montréal, galas and musicals. He is currently working for Réalisations.net as audio-visual project manager for shows and moving architecture projects.
Michel Cusson, Music Composer
Composer, guitarist, and eclectic musician, Michel Cusson is multitalented. He has electrified jazz lovers, touched film and IMAX goers, thrilled TV viewers and transported live audiences around the world with the pure sound of his chords. His contribution to the famed jazz-fusion band UZEB is acclaimed the world over and his impressive work has garnered dozens of awards. Having created the music for 21 films, 7 mega-shows, 17 television series and 30 albums, it is “only the beginning’’ he says. His upcoming projects include a brand-new Cirque du Soleil show as well as the Réalisations.net’s Waikiki Nei show.
Jimmy Lakatos, Director, Video Designer
Jimmy Lakatos specialises in multimedia design, video production and video playback systems design, public events and permanent installations. His professional accomplishments cover a large spectrum and give him a unique perspective on the artistic community and on social impacts of digital technologies.
André Lantin, Vice-President Operations
For almost 25 years André Lantin has managed international film, television, documentaries, multimedia and advertising projects as executive producer for an international clientele. He has worked on many awarded projects in different countries. His awareness of bringing together the right people at the right time within a pro-active collaboration makes every production a new experience. As vice-president operations, he ensures that ideas become reality.
Philippe Mondor, Director, Moving Architecture
Since McGill and Montreal Universities Philippe Mondor has followed multiple paths: engineering, ergonomics and architecture. As an architectural technologist Philippe has worked on different types of projects from residential to institutional. He has participated in the design of several television and movie sets. He is currently working for Réalisations.net as director of moving architecture projects.
Louis-Pierre Morin, Director, Technology
Louis-Pierre Morin has been involved in video projection, show control programming, sound mixing and video editing for many years. Past realisations include content and programming for Cavalia, Dracula: Entre l’amour et la mort, Torino Olympics closing ceremony, Era: Intersection of Time, Canada Pavilion in Torino and different TV show and galas. He also participated in the content and programming of venues in Las Vegas such as Tabù, Teatro/Rouge, Diego, Shibuya, Centrifuge, Liquidity and Eyecandy.
Alexandre Amyot-Murray, Programmer, Interactive Multimedia Systems
After his studies in Mechanical Engineering and new technologies, he graduates from University of Sherbrooke as a Bachelor in Imagery and Digital Medias, a unique formation in its kind in North America. His expertise in image analysis and treatments, form recognition, flow and movement detection gives him the skills within the Réalisations.net team to develop and design new interactive systems. He also actively collaborates with the R&D team and the new programming framework called Sensei, which is a development toolbox supporting the creation of any kind of interactive multimedia projects.
Philippe Provencher, Graphic Designer
For the past 5 years Philippe has created some of Realisations.net most exciting graphic designs and concepts. His background is both creative and eclectic. With his studies in Graphic Design at Université du Québec à Montréal, combined with VJ-ing, photography, illustration, interactivity, user interface design, music composition and editing, his interests leads him to a variety of freelance creative work. After a collaboration on the Canadian Exhibit to Prague Quadrennial in 2003, he joined Réalisations.net creative team as a graphic designer.
Pierrette Venne, Stage Director
As director, artistic director and teacher, Pierrette Venne has collaborated with l’École nationale de cirque Montréal since its inception in 1981. She has co-directed and acted as artistic director for many other productions. Venne gives acting master classes and workshops to multiple artists and theatre companies including Cirque du Soleil and continues to work actively with acrobats, dancers and actors all over the world. More recently, Venne has been co-creator and director of Waikiki Nei, Réalisations.net’s latest show that will be opening in Hawaii in the summer of 2008.
