Realisations.net - Tabu Project

Fashion, Beauty and Interactivity

The WOW factor for the Tabú Ultra Lounge at the MGM Grand Las Vegas was conceived to complement Jeffrey Beers’ stunning design for the space. Réalisations.net found it in three words: Fashion, Beauty and Interactivity.

Realisations.net - Tabu Project
tabu project

Réalisations.net provided not only the idea of Fashion as a central theme for the space but also suggested that it be extended by hiring male and female models as bar personnel. Basing their work on the aesthetic of the space, Réalisations.net showcased moving imagery on furniture and existing surfaces and installed a morphing painted mural. Even company attire was defined by Realisations.net.

Sensual imagery is projected onto bars and tables, evolving as the night progresses. Close-ups of face/body Fashion photographs meld into tapestries of alluring textures.

A thermal detection system with special software permits table imagery to ‘interact’ with guests as they walk by, set their drinks down or even as they dance right on the table tops. A mural of multi-layered paint changes with lighting: women become men who become cacti.

Plasma screens placed in front of the footrest of the Champagne bar feature a variety of foot images: happy feet, seductive feet, dancing feet or even restless feet on the move, blending the line between imagery and reality.
