DESCRIPTION
In collaboration with Antoni Miralda (Barcelona), the teams from Arra (Montreal), Heureka (Helsinki), IFPRI (Washington) and FAO (Rome), Roger Parent helped create scientific and artistic content featuring food as communication.
Set in a 7000 sq. metre pavillion, the exhibit was frequented by 25,000 people per day over a five month period. Visitors came to taste the not-yet-familiar and to reflect on food related tradtitions and practices from all around the world, including: food for the dead, table manners, religious taboos, agricultural practices, hunger...
